Kentucky Natural Gas Utilities

While looking in Kentucky to save on Natural Gas, please be sure to examine the following gas offers.

In September 2000 legislation was passed by the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) to allow the unbundling of services (Deregulation) that allow residential and commercial Natural Gas customers to have a “Choice” of their own supplier. In 2009 there were four natural gas utilities, listed above, participating in the program.

Your natural gas bill is made up of four parts;
1) Gas Supply Cost: Price of gas paid to Utility or AGS (Alternative Gas Supplier). Price and cost of gas based on quantity used obtained from your home meter
2) Gas Delivery Charge: Based on amount of gas used 

3) Customer Charge: Fixed monthly charge
4) Sales Tax and Surcharges: Currently totaling approximately 5% for residential customers

Your utility will still deliver your gas as always for the same fee, but the cost of your natural gas itself is now up to you.
